"Pannonia" is an old term describing the area between Bratislava and Croatia, east of Vienna and west of the lake Balaton. Here Germans, Croats, Hungarians, Gypsies and Jews have been living together for centuries, contributing to each other’s culture.
The five musicians of the group "Heigeign" strive to unite their Pannonian roots with today’s music. They sing in the local German dialect as well as in Croatian, Hungarian and Romany, transforming old folk tunes, underlaying new words to pop songs, or composing their own songs and instrumental pieces.
